Prescribing Information
Blackmores Professional Z.B.M. is a one-a-day zinc tablet providing 25mg of elemental zinc and includes the essential nutrients manganese, vitamin A and vitamin B6. This high potency zinc formulation may assist in the maintenance of healthy immune function, may help protect cells from free radical damage and oxidative stress and assist in the healing of superficial wounds and the management of minor skin disorders such as acne.

• Zinc is important for the maintenance of a healthy immune function and is:
• a component of Cu/Zn superoxide dismutase (SOD), acting as an antioxidant and may assist in protecting cells from free radical damage and oxidative stress
• an essential trace element required for skin repair and wound healing
• an essential trace element involved in collagen synthesis
• Adequate zinc is important for the maintenance of healthy skin
• and is important for the normal functioning of the prostate gland
• Zinc may assist in the management:
• of minor skin disorders such as acne and superficial wounds and may contribute to male fertility through its positive effects on spermatogenesis
• is essential for the proper formation and maturation of spermatozoa
• Vitamin A assists in the maintenance of a healthy immune system and is beneficial for healthy skin function and may assist in the healing of superficial wounds
• Vitamin B6: Adequate vitamin B6 is important for healthy immune function and is important for the healthy functioning of the nervous system

Cautions

• Z.B.M. may interfere with certain other medications your patients may be taking. The recommended adult daily amount of vitamin A from all sources is 2 500 IU.
• Magnesium and zinc may decrease the absorption and efficacy of some medications. Z.B.M. should be administered at least 2 hours apart from these medications
