Black Pearl Scutellaria And Trichosanthes Formula Pill 40g

This formula was first recorded by Wu Kun, 1584. It is a formula that has traditionally been directed towards Phlegm and Heat.
Phlegm-Heat may develop as a consequence of invasion by exogenous Wind-Heat or Wind-Cold (which transforms into Heat). As such it is often seen as an acute disorder ‐ with or without the concomitant clinical manifestations of an Exterior syndrome. Because the pathogens may obstruct the Lung Qi, fluids may stagnate and are readily transformed into Phlegm under the influence of Heat. Alternatively, Phlegm-Heat may develop in patients with chronic Phlegm-Damp obstruction. In these cases, the underlying cause is deficiency of the Spleen Qi with impaired fluid metabolism, which leads to the development of Phlegm.

Citrus aurantium (Bitter Orange) fruit equiv. to dry	43.3mg
Citrus reticulata (Citrus peel) fruit peel equiv. to dry	28.8mg
Fritillaria thundbergii bulb equiv. to dry	28.8mg
Pinellia ternata (Pinellia) tuber equiv. to dry	43.3mg
Wolfiporia cocos fruiting body equiv. to dry	72.1mg
Prunus armeniaca seed equiv. to dry	57.7mg
Scutellaria baicalensis (Baical Skullcap) root equiv. to dry	57.7mg
Trichosanthes kirilowii (Trichosanthes) seed equiv. to dry	43.3mg

 

 

Cautions

Caution for those on anti-coagulant medications (i.e. Heparin, warfarin or aspirin).
Caution in patients taking drugs that affect the central nervous system, antihypertensives, antiarrhythmic drugs (e.g. quinidine, procainamide, disopyramide)
Not suitable for use during pregnancy.
