Description
This formula may now be prescribed for male and female reproductive health. The formula combines herbs that tonify the Kidney Yang with herbs that nourish the Kidney Yin and enrich the Kidney Essence. In addition there are herbs that nourish the Blood. The beauty of this formula is that several of the Kidney Yang tonifying and Essence enriching herbs also have the action of dispelling Wind-Damp and are effective in Wind-Cold-Damp painful obstruction.
The supporting herbs, which nourish the Blood, thus serve a dual purpose. The first is to assist in dispelling Wind, secondly, they support the formula's action of enriching the Kidney Essence.
Another important use for this formula is in the treatment of chronic allergic disorders during the remission phase. The aim of treatment in these cases is to warm-tonify the Kidney Yang and enrich the Kidney Essence in order to strengthen the defensive Qi.
