Biotic Jnr.™ is a multi-species probiotic preparation to promote gastrointestinal and immune maturation. Biotic Jnr.™ contains Lactoferrin that is naturally found in colostrum and human milk and is a component of the innate immune response providing broad-spectrum anti-microbial and anti-viral activity. The selected probiotic species have demonstrated safety and efficacy to help maintain healthy digestive function, growth, development and immunological tolerance that may assist in the management of allergies including eczema in infants, both pre-term and full-term.


STANDARD INDICATIONS

SPECIFIC INDICATIONS

• Enteral supplementation of multi-strain probiotics have shown to decrease the occurrence of necrotising enterocolitis in preterm infants.
• Clinical research demonstrates Lactoferrin alone or in combination with Lactobacillus rhamnosus decreases the occurrence of necrotizing enterocolitis in preterm infants.
• Supports a healthy immune system.
• Helps to maintain immune function.
• Supports and/or assists with a healthy gastrointestinal microbial profile.
• Lactoferrin is naturally found in colostrum and human milk and is a component of the innate immune response providing broad-spectrum anti-microbial and anti-viral activity.

Cautions

• If diarrhoea persists for more than 6 hours in infants under 6 months, 12 hours in children under 3 years, 24 hours in children aged 3-6 years or 48 hours in adults and children over 6 years, seek medical advice.
• Derived from cows milk.
• If symptoms persist consult your healthcare practitioner.

SIDE EFFECTS

• Probiotics may cause minor gastrointestinal symptoms such as bloating and discomfort but are usually temporary and can be relieved by reducing the dose.
• If symptoms persist parents should consult their healthcare practitioner. If diarrhoea persists for more than 6 hours in infants under 6 months; 12 hours in children under 3 years; 24 hours in children aged 3 - 6 years or 48 hours in children over 6 years and adults, seek medical advice.
• Lactoferrin in Biotic. is derived from cow's milk and contains less than 0.1% Lactose.
